BED Recovery Stories

Sharing the tools, the steps, and the journey of recovery can be a moving and inspirational expression of support. Sharing not only supports others, but it helps to recognize the strength in yourself and to claim it publicly. For many people, the struggles of living with BED began before the diagnosis was ever made; while the fear and doubt and shame dictated the relationship between body and self. For others, the diagnosis was the first struggle, realizing there was something to challenge yet understanding how difficult that challenge often is.

The following stories are filled with tears and triumph; heartbreak and humor. They come from all types of people with diverse backgrounds and means of surviving.

Through these stories, please enjoy getting to better know the members of your BEDA Community, and possibly finding new ways or new paths to do your work along the way.

If you would like to contribute your story, please complete the form found here.
