Continuing education credit for this event is  co-sponsored by the Binge Eating Disorders Association and  The Institute for Continuing Education.   The Conference offers a total of 14.50

contact hours, with the daily breakout of credit of:   October 27, 2016 (3.00 contact hrs.);  October 28, 2016 ( 6.00 contact hrs.);  October 29, 2016 (5.50 contact hrs.).    

             

Credit is awarded on a session-by-session basis, with full daily attendance at the sessions attended.    The continuing education processing fee is $25.00, and may be paid with registration fees.   Application forms and other required CE materials will  be available on site.       If you have   questions regarding continuing education,  the program, faculty,  grievance issues, or for a listing of learning objectives,  please contact  The Institute at: 800-557-1950;  e-mail:  instconted@aol.com.   

 

Psychology:  The Institute for Continuing Education is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor  continuing education for psychologists.  The Institute for Continuing Education maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

 

Counseling:  The Institute for Continuing Education and the Binge Eating Disorders Association are co-sponsors of this event.  This co-sponsorship has been approved by NBCC.  The Institute for Continuing Education is an NBCC approved  continuing education provider, No. 5643.  The Institute for Continuing Education is solely responsible for this program, including the awarding of NBCC credit.   Not all sessions are approved for counseling CE credit.  CE materials to be   distributed on-site will  clearly note any non-credit sessions. 

 

Social Work: The Institute for Continuing Education is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), though the  Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.  The Institute for Continuing Education maintains responsibility for the program.   ASWB Provider No. 1007.     Licensed social workers should contact their individual state jurisdiction to review current continuing education requirements for license renewal.

 Marriage-Family Therapy:            The Institute for Continuing Education is recognized as a provider of continuing education by the Florida Dept. of Health, Division of Social Work, MFT, Counseling,  Provider No. BAP 255, expiration 03/17.   

 

California Professionals:  The California Board Behavioral Sciences accepts programs sponsored by and approved CE provider of  any one of the following national organizations: American psychological Association; National Board Certified Counselors; Association Social Work Boards.

 

Nursing:   The Institute for Continuing Education is an approved provider of continuing education in nursing by the California Board of Nursing, Provider CEP 12646.  Nurses are responsible for checking with their state board to determine if credit issued through an approved provider of the CA Board of Nursing is accepted by their state board.

 

Skill Level:  This event is appropriate for mental health professionals of all skill levels.


None-Credit Activities:   Credit is not offered for breakfast, luncheon, dinner, social  events.
